Gotcha x 2!

Today marks the second anniversay that we held Caroline in our arms. She's been with us for longer than she's been apart. Just us the day that they handed her to me for the first time, there were intense tears today. But what a difference--this time she was crying for me to get her and not for me to leave her alone. Today she had an earache and had to have her ears flushed out, fighting three determined nurses all the way. It was a continual scream of, "I want my mommy." Wherever I was in the room her eyes followed to make sure I didn't leave. Two years ago she wouldn't even make eye contact. I think the big difference for me was that this time I was sure that once I got her in my arms she would be fine. And she was. God sure has great plan for balancing things out.
