She's Walking!
Caroline turned 20 months on Thursday and on Saturday morning started doing laps around the house. At first she only wanted to walk 6 or 8 steps to Drew, but quickly she was walking from one side of the room to the other and then immediately turning and going back. She worked up quite a sweat and slept really good that night. Hope she'll still remember me when she doesn't need my finger anymore.

Sorry for the delay in posting. On top of computer problems, we've been out of town introducing Caroline to family and all of us fallen victim to a nasty stomach virus. Even sick Caroline was pleasant. Just when you think life with her can't get any better she finds a new way of melting our hearts. She is learning sign language like crazy and has quite a way with a crayon (although she ate half a yellow one). She also loves to hum along with the radio and mimics everything I do (cooking, putting on makeup, giving Drew a bath). What a helper this girl is--she loves to help me put on my lotion (that will come in handy since I'm pushing 40). She is already much more patient at shopping than Drew and looks everyone we pass in the eye and waves (although very disturbed when they don't wave back). I have never met a more determined girl (that's nicer than the orphanage's word choice, "obstinate") or one that has the ability to make more people smile. Her little face can sure light up a room. We're looking forward to sharing lots of firsts this summer--swimming, trips to the zoo and music classes.

Check back in--I have a few more family trip photos to post later in the week.
