I think we're in trouble. Drew was excited when he first saw Caroline's pictures but today the reality of how close a sister is has kicked in, BIG TIME. On the way to school this morning he asked how many days until Caroline comes home, and then before bed he announced that he was going to go "break her out of China." (Can you tell he's into superheroes?) Midday he came up with the idea that I would play Caroline and he would star as himself. He practiced his nurturing role--caring for me when I was sick (although he diagnosed my condition as wax in my ears) and feeding me (a combination of peanuts and canola oil--to which I protested). He also has claimed for himself a sweet picture of Caroline in a frame that my sister-in-law LouAnn gave me. He's snuggled up next to it in bed, and before he went to sleep told me that his favorite part about her was her face. I'm lucky he got in bed at all, earlier tonight he told me he wasn't going to sleep until she came home. I can't wait until she takes over her much beloved role in about eight weeks. We are all ready!

It's with great excitement in what God has done for us that we introduce our precious daughter and sister, Caroline Sholar.
She is 15 months old and living with a foster family in the Hubei Province of China. She has been with them almost since birth and, from what understand, has received awesome care.
What a cutie! At her year old check up she weighed in at just over 17 pound and was 27 inches. She also has full head of black hair (enough to part) and an ivory complexion.
We hope to go get her around the first of February. Please pray for us as we prepare to go, and endure some more waiting in the process. It's an awesome feeling to finally see the one we've prayed for and loved from afar for 15 months.
Love,
Darrin, Rhonda and Drew Sholar
